Eminem is arguably the biggest music star on the planet. MTV rank him as the 7th biggest icon in music history. He’s sold over 86 million albums and he’s coming to Northern Ireland for the very first time.
Since exploding onto the scene in 1999 with the ground-breaking ‘The Slim Shady LP’, Eminem has dominated the music charts. ‘The Marshal Mathers’ album became the fastest selling solo album in US history and in the UK he’s now racked up an incredible five No.1 albums and seven chart topping singles. He’s won 13 Grammys and also picked up an Academy Awards for ‘Best Original Song’ for ‘Lose Yourself’.
At the Billboard Awards, held in Las Vegas on Sunday night (May 22), Eminem dominated, picking up 6 awards including ‘Top Artist’ and ‘Top Billboard 200 Album’.
His most recent album ‘Recovery’ further cemented his reputation as the defining artist of his generation. It was the best-selling album worldwide in 2010 and spawned the massive singles 'Love The Way You Lie’ and ‘Not Afraid’.
